Why The BC Manager Course: Jump-Start Your BCMS Programme and Why Now?
This course is designed for newly appointed Business Continuity Managers who need a clear understanding of the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) cycle to jump-start their BC activities. It provides an overview of ISO 22301 requirements, how a BCMS programme should be managed, and the key considerations for organisations planning to implement BCMS.
It also aims to help you understand the common challenges that may arise when implementing a BCMS programme and provides guidance & direction for getting started effectively. As one of the longest-running courses in BCP Asia, this course has been conducted more than 60 times since its launch in 2008 and is now in its 7th version.

Day 1 The BC Manager Course: Jump-Start Your BCMS Programme
- Learn the purpose and importance of BCMS programme
- Discuss the ISO 22301 BCM framework, Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) and the key operating elements including BIA, RA, strategy, documentation, audit, test and exercise
- Explore your own role and your team’s role within the BCMS programme
Day 2 The BC Manager Course: Jump-Start Your BCMS Programme
- Compare the various implementation approaches to attain your desired outcome for your BCMS programme
- Learn about potential challenges when implementing BCMS programme
- Experience the BCMS programme through simulation exercise
